Get your Arduino on the Internet with the new Adafruit WINC1500 WiFi Shields

Now available from Tronixlabs Australia is a solid and secure method of connecting your Arduino or compatible board to the Internet - with the new WINC1500 WiFi Shields from Adafruit. 

Based on the Atmel ATWINC1500 WiFi module your project can connect over 802.11b, g, or n networks and supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption. You can use it in Soft AP mode to create an ad-hoc network. For secure client connections, there is TLS 1.2 support! 

We have two versions available - one with a PCB antenna:

and another with a uFL socket so you can connect an external antenna:

Inline header pins are included but not soldered to the shields. Once again, getting started is easy thanks to the excellent documentation provided by Adafruit.
