Now available from Tronixlabs Australia is the useful PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor and Breadboard Adapter Kit - PMS5003 from Adafruit. This device offers real-time, reliable measurement of PM2.5 dust concentrations!

PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor and Breadboard Adapter Kit - PMS5003 from Tronixlabs Australia

(PM2.5 refers to particles that are 2.5 microns or smaller in diameter.) This sensor uses laser scattering to radiate suspending particles in the air, then collects scattering light to obtain the curve of scattering light change with time.

The microprocessor calculates equivalent particle diameter and the number of particles with different diameter per unit volume. This information can then be sent back to your development board (or computer via an optional USB-serial converter) for further analysis, storage or display.

Using your new sensor is easy thanks to example code for Arduino and CircuitPython, along with the breadboard-compatible interface cable. For more information and to order - please visit the product page

And as always - we'll ship your entire order anywhere in Australia for $5. Don't forget to keep up with news, specials and more from Tronixlabs, please follow us on facebook or twitter.
