Product Description

Need to control a lot of currrent with your microcontroller, Arduino or other circuit? Then this module is for you - easily control a maximum of 240V AC or 30V DC at up to 30A. The input is isolated from the relay coil using an opto-isolator which means you don't need to worry about sourcing too much current, back-EMF diodes and so on. 

How to use your relay module:

Consider the image below. The terminals from left to right are:

  1. Vcc - this is the positive side of the power for the optocoupler side of the circuit. You can use 5V or 3.3V.
  2. Vin - connect the digital output of your microcontroller (or other signal to trigger the relay) to this terminal. The voltage must match what you have connected to Vcc. This will draw around 4 mA of current.
  3. GND - this the matching GND for Vcc. Do not connect it to GND1.
  4. Vcc1 - this is for the relay coil power and needs to be 5V DC and offer 220 mA of current.
  5. GND1 - this is the matching GND for Vcc1. Do noto connect this to GND.

The two heavy-duty terminals at the other end are the in and out for the load you are switching.
